Eternity, a state of eternal existence, do we really become eternal once our time here is done. Certain religions believe so but what about personal thought? Situations and objects throughout life are very rarely going to last for an eternity, a million words of undeniable love have been uttered over the years, generations, such promises of loving for an eternity but have they really truly ever lasted?

If the people in question were to look back ten years later would they still have that eternal emotion inside them?

A memory is often kept for an eternity if it's passed down, hidden between every day thoughts and occasionally brought out of the dusty realms for a moment or two, reminiscence keeping the attention for that time only. Time being the one main thing that will last for eternity, never disappearing and even when we are no longer here it shall still exist.

The universe is another thought but are we really sure that it shall be eternal? Elixir would be eternal if it was possible to obtain.

So, as I sit here and think upon the love I have flowing inside me, the days that are due to come, and the love that shall never disappear though may fade I wonder if Eternity is just something we have all dreamt.

"If the people in question were to look back ten years later would they still have that eternal emotion inside them?"

I have loved a few women before my current GF, though my relationship with them is finished, there is still feel a certain spark of love for them. dont get me wrong i love my GF very much, so much that i dont even know how i could have survived without her all these years, but there will always be a little place in my heart where i keep some part of my feelings for all my past GF's. Anyway eternity for me is equal to the length of time i exist in this world of ours, so if the is an afterlife then i will love eternally, if on the other hand there is no life after death then i can say that i will love for as long as i exist.

Excellent reply, thank you. I always assumed men just buried us ex girlfriends into the deepest, darkest depths of hell and no longer thought, glad to see I was wrong. :0)
